Who We Are

DISTRICT INFORMATION

Boulder Rural Fire Rescue is a full-service emergency services provider in portions of north, west, and eastern unincorporated Boulder County. We are responsible for approximately 25 square miles, 17,000 residents, and over 1,300 calls per year.

OUR FIRST RESPONDERS

Boulder Rural has a staff of 24 career firefighters, one contract firefighter, and a dedicated administrative team. If you call 9-1-1 in an emergency, you can expect help from a Fire Captain, an Engineer, a Firefighter/Paramedic and Firefighter/EMT on the fire engine as well as two Firefighter/Paramedics on the ambulance.

Did you know that over 60% of our calls are medical in nature? Because of this, we carry cardiac, pain management, and other advanced medications on our engines. With paramedics on the engine and ambulance, you get the best pre-hospital care possible.
