Boulder Rural Fire Rescue is seeking dedicated and experienced individuals to join our esteemed team as Entry Level or Lateral Firefighter Paramedics. If you have a passion for serving your community, possess exceptional firefighting and emergency medical skills, and are ready for a new challenge, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Please note the following: The Lateral Firefighter Paramedic position will be hired in early September 2024 for a start date in late September 2024 while the Entry Level position will be hired in October 2024 with a start date in February 2025. 

Boulder Rural Fire Rescue proudly serves a diverse and expansive area, encompassing a wide range of landscapes and communities. BRFR serves roughly 17,500 residents of a 25 square mile fire protection district. Our coverage area spans across urban, suburban, and rural regions surrounding the vibrant city of Boulder, Colorado. From picturesque mountainous terrain to rolling plains and everything in between, our dedicated team of firefighters and paramedics are responsible for safeguarding a multitude of residential, commercial, and wildland areas. We are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of the communities we serve. 

BRFR is an all-hazards, Full-Service Fire and Rescue Department providing Structural, Urban Interface, Wildland, Technical Rescue, Auto Extrication, HAZMAT, fire-based Paramedic ambulance transport, Public Education and safety inspections to our community. We operate a Paramedic Engine and ALS Transport Ambulance and run approximately 1,000 calls per year.
